The Antigua and Barbuda CBI program began in 2012, and quickly became one of the strongest CBI programs in the world. No physical residency is required. And all family members are eligible. Investments are welcome, after receiving official approval.
There are 2 investment options open to prospective citizens – a donation to the government, or investment in real estate. In the case of real estate, the property cannot be sold within the first 5 years.
This is a low-cost second passport, available to citizens of most countries around the world. It is worth noting that taxes across Antigua and Barbuda have risen in the last decade. No high-risk country citizens will be accepted onto the program. Those countries deemed to be high-risk include: Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen.
